A Guide to Helping a Friend
A celebrity chef. A hometown restaurant. A murder that could destroy everything.
When a famous TV chef arrives in town, Meggie Dolan is finally on the brink of her big break. A feature at her beloved restaurant, the Robin’s Roost, could change her life forever.
Instead, the celebrity ends up dead… right in Meggie’s kitchen.
With suspicion closing in and the future of the Robin’s Roost on the line, Tessa Windsor has no choice but to step in. Armed with her quiet magical talents, sharp instincts, and her ever-watchful animal companions, Tessa must uncover the truth before her best friend is served up as the prime suspect.
Because this time, murder isn’t just on the menu, it’s threatening everything Tessa holds dear.

I hope you enjoy it!
I’ve got a great plan put together for new releases this year (God willing and the creek don’t rise). I plan on releasing two books each for the following series: Razzy Cat, Clowder Cats, Millie, and, of course, Finn and Briar. The Brynn and Bernie series will have at least one, possibly two new books in 2026.
Just like last year, there won’t be a new release in February. It gives me a little breathing room, and will allow me to launch a new project. It’s super secret so far, but I’ll give you a little hint: If you enjoy books by Heather Fawcett, India Holton, Travis Baldree, T Kingfisher, or Sangu Mandanna, (and countless other incredibly talented authors), click here to fill out my form to be notified when it’s launched!
But that doesn’t mean February won’t have anything special going on. In honor of the 5 year book-a-versarie for the Escape Room series, it’s getting a nice makeover, including new titles and new covers. It will be coming off of Kindle Unlimited, so if you use that and haven’t read those three books yet, here’s your chance to do it on that platform. On February 15th, they’ll be available everywhere books are sold (online and paperbacks available to order in stores) and in Kobo Plus if you use that platform.
As I hinted previously, I’m also working on special edition paperbacks for all the current books, and I’ll be doing some exciting things with audiobooks this year as well. They’re overdue and I’m really looking forward to that.
I couldn’t do any of these things without you, and as we start this brand new year, I’d like to take a moment to thank each one of you! This has been a long post and I appreciate you taking the time to read it.
